Seeing The Fruits

July 20, 2013

It is such an amazing thing to see the fruits come after God uses you.  Sometimes it happens overnight and sometimes it may be years down the road.   On Wednesday when I left Sooner Youth Camp, I felt like I was supposed to come back on Friday night for the family night.  And God blessed me beyond measure last night when I did!

On Wednesday, I thought God was telling me something about a particular girl that listened to my story.  She looked extremely bored throughout the whole time I talked, and afterward she asked a question about if my home life led me to drugs, but she didn’t come talk to me privately.  For some reason God was revealing to me that this girl was one that needed to hear this story.

I was hoping if I went back on Friday night, it would reopen the door for anyone that didn’t take the chance on Wednesday to open up.  That’s not exactly what happened, but I was blessed just the same.

As we walked down to the lake for a baptism, one of the 13 year old girls that talked to me on Wednesday grabbed my hand and ran with me.  She told me how she was baptized the night before.   Wow God!  That is amazing!  Then down at the lake, one of the guys that had talked to me about his story came and told me that he told a counselor his whole story about his drug addiction.  And that he wants to share it with others to help them.  WOW God!!  He asked me on Wednesday why I wanted to tell my story.  So I’m praying that he will tell the world how God redeemed him from his addiction as well!

I think the highlight of my night was when the campers did the “serious skit” as they call it.  The message of the week was grace.  And the campers came out on the stage, one at a time with a piece of cardboard with whatever sin or struggle they had in their life on it, and on the other side, how they have overcome it.  When I saw the girl that God had revealed to me come out with a sign that said she used drugs every day and now she just needs Jesus every day, I busted out in tears!  To see God reveal and confirm something like that just keeps me in awe!  But to see this beautiful girl confess her addiction before all her friends and acknowledge that Jesus is all she needs awes me even more!

Wow God!  If one person took something away from my story, then Your Word did not come back void.  But to show me how many kids it impacted just amazes me!  YOU AMAZE ME LORD!!  More and more each day!

This is the beginning of my ministry.  God has finally brought me to that place where I am ready for it!
