March 18, 2013
Tonight is a very special night. I’ve been waiting for this night for 4 ½ years now. Tonight is the end of a very long journey and tomorrow is the beginning of the next. Tonight is the last night that I belong to the Bureau of Prisons.
Tomorrow I have a new set of rules and expectations. I can stay out as late as I want (which will probably never be past 10:00pm!) And I don’t have to call in anywhere and check in. I don’t have to come straight home after work. And if I want to stop at the store and buy something, I can do so and not have to worry about getting in trouble.
After tomorrow I can get involved in more ministry and find my place and where I fit in in God’s plan. I can go to Sunday school instead of just church. I can go out to eat or just hang out at a friend’s house.
There is so much that I have been looking forward to and it all begins tomorrow!
And there are some big things in the works that I know God is preparing me for. I’m not sure what they are, but I know that He’s got big plans for me! He says “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans for a hope and a future!” (Jeremiah 29:11) I have been trusting in this scripture for the past few years, and I know that this promise still stands in my life.
Even though this chapter of my life is ending, this is truly only the beginning of the next.
Hi Randi
Congrats on this next chapter in your life. I have been following your life on this blog for a while now. I an truly proud of your new walk in this life. May God bless you. In my morning devotional this morning, I read Proverbs 4:20-27. I pray this for your life, and hope to see you soon.
20 My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. 21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body. 23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. 24 Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. 26 Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. 27 Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
i am so happy for you may god bless each and every step you take have a blessed day and much happiness to you and yours god bless
