As I sit here praying over my sister Ashley, the song “I Will Rise” is on. And I remember this song from prison and what it meant to me.
“Jesus has overcome and the grave is overwhelmed. The victory is won – He is risen from the dead.”
Jesus has overcome! He took my sins to the grave with Him and left them there! And I see Ashley in this song. She will have victory over her addiction.
“And I will rise when He calls my name. No more sorrow – no more pain.
I will rise on eagle’s wings – Before my God fall on my knees… and RISE!”
Ashley – the Lord is calling your name. He wants you to surrender to Him. He wants to give you peace like you’ve never known. He wants to restore your family. He wants to wash your sins away.
He Says, “Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I WILL NOT forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands.” (Isaiah 49:15-16)
He will never leave you. He will never give up on you!
“The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)
He is waiting for you to turn back to Him – He’s got the angels ready to rejoice!
Please pray for my sister. For deliverance! For safety! For peace! Pray for a clear mind so she can see what is going on around her.
And pray for my family. Addiction has no place in our lives and we have victory over it! And please pray for Ashley’s twin girls, Avery and Addison, and Desiree that they know they are loved. And that God’s perfect plan may be revealed in their lives.
