Church was amazing last Sunday! My grandma, aunt and mom came, and Shauna and Kip too. And my friends Kelli and Michael came also. I haven’t seen them in like 6 years! I sat with my grandma and had to hold back the tears at how special it felt to be there with her. It still gets to me how much I cherish this time I get to spend with my family. I can’t get over how much God loves us and how He gave me this 2nd chance to live for the right reasons, and to cherish and enjoy life and the people He has given me. He keeps blessing me with the right people in my life.
Kelli is a friend from the past. We used to party together. And when I talked to her for the first time last week and she said she was baptized a few weeks ago, the tears just fell—I was so excited. I could hear the joy in her voice of how much God has done for her and her family. Then the next thing I know, we are sitting in church together, that’s just AMAZING! She’s not a friend from the past. She’s a friend for life. Like the song says, “Friends are friends forever if the Lord’s the Lord of them.”
God is bringing all the right people in my life for the right time, and I am so grateful.
