What the Halfway House is like

So I thought ya’ll might want to know about the halfway house and what its like.  I live ina room with 8 other girls.  We each have our own miniature closet with shelves and all.  It is a co-ed house.  But we arent supposed to talk to the men…  Of course that doesnt stop them from talking to us.  There are about 25 ladies to 100-150 men.

The food is great so far.  I have had grapes and carrots & celery and egg-n-cheese bagels.  Milk for every meal if I want.  It’s just great!  On Sundays, my family can bring me food to visitation so that’s pretty cool too!

The only pass I can get right now is a 4 hour pass to go to church.  Next week I will get job search passes so I can look for a job.  I am expected to be gone all day job hunting until I find a job.

After I get 2 paychecks, I am eligible for my first 3 hour pass.  Then a 24 hour pass.  Then a 48 hour pass.  Then I can go home on home confinement.

So, pretty much, as soon as I get a job, things will start moving.

The staff is nice.  I’ve noticed a lot of them are Christians.  I’m in a good place, for the most part.  I’m still kind of in awe that I am really here!  God has been so good to me!  We serve and awesome God.
