Today’s Daily Light is about God showing me the way. I have been praying diligently for the right job and this week I will start my job searching. Psalm 143:8 says, “Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You.” As long as the Lord is directing my steps, my foot will not slip. The doors will be closed that are not for me and the right door will be opened at the right time. “The humble He teaches His way.” Psalm 25:9
I cannot let pride creep in. Pride tells me I need to find a job in an office or I have to make at least $10.00 an hour. Pride tells me I can’t work flipping burgers. How can He direct my path if I am putting limitations on Him? Proverbs 16:9 says, “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” I can follow my heart’s desire when choosing a job, but I have to follow His leading if He directs me another way.
As long as I keep my eyes upon God, my path will be headed in the right direction, keep my focus, guard my heart, and don’t turn to the right or to the left… That is my mediation throughout the days.
