This week has been kinda shaky… lots of ups and downs. Lots of things that poked at my nerves. Lots of thing that got past the filter on my mouth. Actually my filter was broken for a couple days. And no matter how hard I prayed to guard my tongue… it kept leaking.
The devil has been busy. He’s not happy with the things going on. And I feel like I’ve been wrestling with him all week. “Our struggle is not with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of this dark world, and against spiritual wickedness is high places.” (Eph 6:12)
But even though sometimes our world might seem like it is shaky, and things aren’t going as smooth as we’d like, “We still have this hope, as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” (Heb 6:19)
And we can be confident and sure that this hope won’t let us down. We can hope and expect that tomorrow is going to be a new day. That Jesus gives us His strength to get through it. And that “when we set the Lord before us, He will be at our right hand, and we will not be shaken.” (Ps. 16:8)
I guess all I need to do now is “shake, shake… shake the devil off.” 🙂
