Psalm 31:24 “Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye who hope in the Lord.”
As I am reading Psalm 31, God is revealing some things to me that are happening here. The devil is on the prowl. Our prayer circle has lost 2 members. They said God told them to separate themselves. I was told today that one girl told another girl God told her to separate from her because they are on different spiritual levels.
This is not from God! Psalm 31:18-20 says, “Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuosly against the righteous. Oh how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for them who fear You; which You have wrought for them who trust in You before the sons of men! You shall hide them in the secret of Your presence from the pride of man: You shall keep them secretly in a pavillion from the strife of tongues.”
There is strife in the church right now. And it does come from pride. Satan has told this woman that she is better than the rest of us and to separate herself from us. There’s no way this is the voice of God because Jesus came for the sick – not the healthy. And He is a God of peace and unity – not disorder.
Verse 23 says, “O love the Lord, all ye His saints: for the Lord preserves the faithful, but the proud He pays back in full.”
We have been faithful. We made it through our fast and kept our commitment to pray every morning. And we will be rewarded and blessed for this.
But it bothers me how easily Satan stepped in and led some astray. And how Satan makes his voice sound so much like Gods. But I know the God I serve does not tell His children to separate from each other. He tells us to separate from sin and from the world – but definitely not each other.
So I’m going to take courage, knowing that He is strengthening my heart and in the very face of the enemy, I will keep putting my hope in the Lord!
