Lamentations 3:27-29 “It is good for a man that he bear the yoke of his youth. He sits alone and keeps silence, because He has borne it upon him. He puts his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope.”
The first thing I took from this is that it is good I have been afflicted now – in my youth. My eyes have been opened – and I am so glad I didn’t go through my whole life lost! I thank God that He laid this affliction on me now.
And as I sit here “in silence,” I am bearing this with patience. I am not complaining because I know the Lord has saved me and it teaching me valuable lessons… or at least I’m TRYING not to complain.
And it wasn’t until I “put my mouth in the dust” – submitted to His plan that I realized there was hope for me!
