So I have a God story that I have been cherishing as my own, but its time to share about the amazing things God is doing. And how He is the Great Orchestrator of all things!
The story starts back in December when my friend Jenny, from high school, came and gave a concert here in Greenville. And Jenny wrote a blog about her night here. (If you haven’t read it, check it out at www.jennysimmons.com – Christmas miracle)
That night was a miracle in itself – but God wasn’t done yet… He never is… He always does immeasurably more that all we could ask or imagine!
So I talk to my sister back at the beginning of February and she tells me about this guy Josh who got a hold of her. I went to high school with Josh as well. And Josh was reading Jenny’s blog and was led over to my blog and ended up reading the whole blog in one sitting. He says my story came together slowly in pieces, and as he was reading it, he started day dreaming about my story on stage.
Josh and his wife, Amelia run a Christian theater company in New York City, called Firebone Theatre and he wants to write my story into a musical! I always thought I would put my story in a book one day, but I like how God to put it to music!
So it still gets better. Back during the 21 day fast I finished a few weeks ago, I wrote about receiving a word from God on January 24th. And the word said to wait another 7 days for my olive leaf. And the day I heard from Josh was the 7th day! So I truly believe this is the olive leaf I was waiting for!
God’s hand has been all over this! It is amazing when He gives us glimpses into what He has in store for us. And to actually see the blessings He’s planning before I even get out… WOW! I stand in AWE!
So I just finished writing down my life story and we’re gonna start with that!
And I’m gonna end this with the scripture that Josh sent me. The name Firebone comes from Jeremiah 20:9, “But if I say ‘I will not mention Him or speak anymore in His name,’ His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed I cannot.”
I, just like Jeremiah, cannot hold in His Word or His stories! I have to tell them! They burn inside me! He is too Marvelous and too Awesome to not share all about Him!
