Camp Hope is a program for mothers at Carswell. For 3 days, the children get to come spend the whole day with their mothers. There are special activities planned. This year there was a petting zoo that came. It is a great time for moms and children to bond – you can hardly tell we’re in prison. I was a volunteer and it was very rewarding few days for me. It was amazing to see the women that I live with 24 hours a day in a whole different light. You almost couldn’t recognize some of them when they are with their children. I was blessed to be part of this program.

Randi’s previous boss sent me a picture of Randi from work. She told me not to put it up on the website…but whatever….
Let’s see if she can stop me….

So here she is! So cute!
If you look closely, you can see all the pictures of Randi’s dog, Skyler. She really, really loves her dog. So – pray that I don’t set Skyler free. I set our family’s first dog, Ginger, free…and she has never really forgiven me for it.
Randi gets copies of all of our posts & all of the comments so she is probably going to be calling me as soon as she gets a copy of this one. Randi, I swear that I will take care of your dog. Ugh.
That being said…please comment away – she does get to read all of the comments and those mean a lot to her and to the other girls. I am sure they would all love to hear from you whether it is in a personal letter or in comments on the blog.

Hi Friends…Family…New Friends…Etc,
I wanted to let you know that we are so thrilled with those of you who want to link to this website. It is amazing the number of families that have to go through this same thing. I have already gotten a number of emails & I appreciate them all so much!
I am sure that Randi is embarrassed for her actions and ashamed of them….but she didn’t hesitate for one moment to want to share her story! So…don’t hesitate to share it also. We hope for this to be a ministry for many!
I also wanted to leave you with a picture of Randi & Macy (her niece) from our June ’08 Vacation to Destin,FL.
