I am taking a class where I had to write my mission statement. This is what I came up with and I encourage everyone to write your own mission statement if you don’t have one. I know I want to live my life, but I never actually summed it up and doing this gave me a since of purpose and hope for the future.
Each day I will thank God for another day that was not promised. I will spend my days honoring God by the way I live, the people I serve and the encouragement I give. I will always try to be gentle and understanding. I will always put my trust in God. I will keep His commands to the best of my ability. I will love the people around me, even the ones who are unlovable. And by doing so I will be sharing the love of God. I will rely on the joy of the Lord to be my strength and I will pray God’s peace and comfort over everyone I meet. One day I will teach my children God’s ways and I will set an example for them to follow. And I will love and support my husband unconditionally, but I will always love God first.
